Frequently Asked Questions
What is your style of wedding photography?
We try to offer a wide selection of styled images: a mix of creative, conventional and journalistic shots. We like to shoot a few posed images, because we all sometimes need a little direction to get our look perfect. We like detailed shots too, so we spend time with the bride capturing all those amazing elements that will mean so much to her.
What is the pre-wedding meeting about?
During this meeting, we get to know each other and discuss your ideas and wishes for your wedding photos. We also use this opportunity to explain in detail how we work, so that you know exactly what to expect. You will have an opportunity to view our work, which will help you decide whether we’re the right team for you.
What is the purpose of the pre-wedding shoot?
Once again, this helps us all to get to know one another. Our aim is to get you comfortable in front of the camera and at ease working with us. This helps us to deliver unforgettable images of your Big Day. It is also a fun bonding opportunity for couples and often turns into a lot of fun. The pre-wedding shoot photos are yours to keep and can be used for wedding invitations or thank you cards.
What happens before the wedding?
We initially spend some time with the groom and his best men, capturing images of them enjoying moments of bonding. Thereafter, we visit the bride and her bridesmaids, to photograph those last-minute touches, creative images of the bride, her dress, the bridesmaids and finally the family as they prepare for the ceremony.
What do you do during the ceremony?
We love capturing those amazing emotional and impromptu moments. Nina loves to capture those photo-journalistic images: the look of pure amazement on the groom’s face when he sees his bride for the first time; the look on Dad’s face as he proudly walks his daughter down the aisle… Capturing these moments helps us to tell the story of your special day and having a second shooter is invaluable in achieving this goal.
What is the programme after the ceremony?
We spend some time shooting formal pictures of the family and friends, then the bridal party and finally the bride and groom alone. This is when we shoot more fashion styled images. Our thinking is simple: You have spent an incredible amount on the dress and creating the perfect image and we want you to remember those moments as if posed for Vogue magazine. We want those beautiful and elegant shots, with stunning backdrops and imagery.
What do you capture at the reception?
Depending on the package a client has selected, we spend time getting images of the décor and venue setup and, during the party itself, pictures of guests at their tables. We also cover the first dance, speeches, cake cutting and of course the bridal couple. We also make sure that we capture plenty of fun shots with family and friends, all with the aim of creating “wow” photos for the wedding album.
How much time do you spend on each wedding?
Time spent at the wedding itself depends on the selected package. After a wedding, we spend 30 to 40 hours on editing and album designs.
Do you offer “teaser photos” soon after the wedding?
Yes, within a day or two of the event. We also send a Sticky Album to your mobile phone for you to enjoy and share.
Will you give me my wedding photos on a CD?
No, we supply your final selection on a USB or a tablet for you to keep dependent on the package you purchase.
How many wedding photos will I receive?
We normally provide from 250 to 450 images, depending on the package you select.
How long will I have to wait for my photographs?
We normally like to meet with our clients three to four weeks after the wedding to view images and discuss the wedding album.
What happens at the viewing meeting?
We display a slideshow of your photos, set to music, on a big screen TV. We also present your Samsung Galaxy tablet or other device provided in your package with the same images and slideshow on it for you to keep. We assist you in selecting photos for your wedding album too.
Is the wedding album optional?
We have specifically designed our packages to always include an album. The reason is that we have found that electronic images rarely get printed (or printed well) and we feel that is a great pity. With the album, we help you to construct the story of your wedding day – as a keepsake for yourselves and to share with loved ones. We have, however, provided a new a la carte pricing system for those that want to make up their own packages.
